Lions International Recycle for Sight Program

The "Recycle for Sight" recycling program, adopted by the Lions in 1994, distributes eyeglasses to people in need in developing countries where eye care is often unaffordable and inaccessible.  The organization also helps people with hearing loss or impairments through their hearing aid recycling program.  Lions International recycles thousands of hearing aids a year that enhance the lives of adults and children worldwide.

Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home and Dauderman Mortuary have been collecting for the Lions since 1995. Prescription and reading glasses, sunglasses, plastic and metal frames, children's glasses, and hearing aids, continue to be accepted at the funeral home's four locations.  Those who wish to donate may contact them at (618) 654-2133 for pick up or drop items off at the funeral home.
