Robert D. "Bob" Haller, age 62 of Pocahontas, IL, died Saturday, December 09, 2017, at Old Ripley Township in Pocahontas, IL. He was born on Monday, October 31, 1955, in Highland, IL, the son of Norman and Carolyn (nee Conroy) Haller. He was a former member of Highland Country Club and Highland Sportsman's Club. Bob was born at Highland and grew up in the Grantfork, IL area. He was a 1973 graduate of Highland High School. He worked in Chicago, IL as a mechanic for several years. He returned to Pierron, IL where he erected grain bins for 6 months. In the late 1970's he went to work for Dow Chemical - working then until it closed. He then partnered with Plant Maintenance Services of Highland as a co-owner. He was still working there at the time of his automobile accident and death. Bob loved playing golf; he liked to fish; he was always going boating; - anything outdoors was an enjoyment. His children and grandchildren were very important to him.
