Ray K. Leroy

Ray K. Leroy, age 70 of Greenville, IL, died Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in O Fallon, IL. He was born on Tuesday, May 23, 1950, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Douglas and Julie (nee Vouga) Leroy. On Friday, July 08, 1988, he married Judy A. Leroy nee Jarvis at Pacific, MO, who passed away on Wednesday, February 06, 2002. Ray was born in St. Louis, MO and lived there until he was 10. In 1960, he then lived outside of Bogota, Colombia in South America, with his family, they were part of the first family to go overseas with OMS for Men for Missions, serving in Agriculture Bible Family Institute in Colombia, South America. In 1964, he moved with his family to Highland, IL; moved to Orange County, California with his family for 3 years, attending Lowell High School; then moved back to Highland. He worked for Crete Carriers driving a Semi across the Mexican and Canadian borders for 4 years. He then worked for Big Sky Excavating Company and Maedge Trucking both in Marine, IL, as a truck driver before retiring in August of 2004. He enjoyed trucking and helping on the family farm. (Significant other David Heggie) Leroy, Pierron, IL Grandchild - James (Fiancee-Savannah) Leroy, Highland, IL Grandchild - Janna (Rick) Kutz, Pocahontas, IL Grandchild - Jacob (Melanie) Heilig, New Baden, IL Grandchild - Cailey Roberts, Trenton, IL Grandchild - Marcus Langenhorst, Trenton, IL Grandchild - Zane Mac Heggie, Pierron, IL Grandchild - Eva J. Heggie, Pierron, IL Great Grandchildren - Zaylee, Ellie, Kirstyn, Aaden, Skylar and Jada Sister - Lori Dawson, Highland, IL Sister - Gail Leroy, Uruguay, South America, Step Children - Many. He was preceded in death by: Father - Douglas W. Leroy died 5/23/2004 Mother - Julie M. Leroy, nee Vouga died 5/23/2004 Wife - Judy A. Leroy, nee Jarvis, died 2/6/2002 Nephew - Paul Dawson. Arrangements are pending at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Interment will be at Gullick Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
