Margie A. Boeker, age 79 of Hamel, IL, died Tuesday, June 04, 2019, at her home in Hamel, IL. She was born on Thursday, June 29, 1939, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Edward and Martha (nee Stille) Abert. On Saturday, September 06, 1958, at the Salem E & R Church, Alhambra, IL, she married Richard W. Boeker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hamel, IL. Margie was born at home in Alhambra, IL and grew up in Alhambra. She graduated from Highland High School, in 1957. She worked at Hamel State Bank. After her marriage she and her husband lived in Hamel. She helped her husband build their construction business, R.W. Boeker Co. Inc, and she assisted with office work. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; her later years she spent all the time she could with her grandchildren. Survivors include: Son - Scott R. Boeker, Hamel, IL Daughter - Stacy R. Scheller, Alhambra, IL Sister In-law - Linda K. Abert, Alhambra, IL. She was preceded in death by: Father - Edward H. Abert - Died 3/12/1973 Mother - Martha W. Abert, nee Stille - Died 8/09/1999 Husband - Richard W. Boeker - Died 2/8/2015 Son - Kerry L. Boeker - Died 5/02/2017 Sister - Betty J. Olive - Died 6/12/2011 Brother - Rollin E. Abert - Died 1/27/2005 Brother - Russel A.O. Abert - Died 6/16/1998 Sister - Vernette M. Hunsche - Died 1/14/2003. Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Hamel, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, June 07, 2019, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 08, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamel, IL., with Rev. Benjamin Ball, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Saint Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Hamel, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
