Margaret M. "Marge" Childs

Margaret Mary \"Marge\" Childs, age 77 of Highland, IL, died Tuesday, July 09, 2013, at Breese Caring First Nursing Home in Breese, IL. She was born on Thursday, January 09, 1936, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of William Joseph and Meta Minnie (nee Waterstradt) Henehan. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Springfiled, IL. Margaret was born in Chicago; graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Chicago. She attended Loyola University earning a BS. She taught several years and worked in the medical field following marriage. She lived in California where her children were born. After her divorce she moved to Staunton; lived in Alton; and following her disability moved to Springfield in 1967. She moved to Highland in 2003. She devoted her time to her children and grandchildren. She was very involved in her children\'s activities; boy scout leader; girl scout leader, et al. She had been an Eucharist Minister at St. Joseph Parish. She was fiercely independent. Marge was an excellent seamstress, good cook, enjoyed cake decorator for family and friends. She loved to garden and enjoyed traveling.
