Marcia A. Golik

Marcia A. Golik, 82, of Whitesboro, NY, peacefully passed away, Thursday March 1, 2018, surrounded by her family in San Gabriel Memory Care, Highland, IL. She was born, January 21, 1936, in Utica, N.Y., the daughter of Walter and Matilda (nee Rybicki) Stolarczyk. She received her education in the Whitesboro School System and was an active member of Whitesboro Alumni Assoc., KE Sorority and St. Mary’s Church, New York Mills, NY. On September 14,1957, she was united in marriage to Robert B. Golik, in St. Mary’s Church, New York Mills, the couple resided in Whitesboro. Mr. Golik passed away, April 25, 1989. Marcia was employed by US Airlines as a reservationist up until her retirement. She enjoyed golfing, aerobics, and traveling to see her children and grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory include: her daughter, Barbara J. (Peter) Capalupo, Highland, IL; two sons, David M. (Simone N. Brard) Golik, North Ridge, CA and Daniel R. Golik; grandchildren, Stephanie R. (Benjamin) Bollard, Christopher D. (friend-Anupa Singh) Capalupo, Alexander R. (fiancée Allison Stroup) Capalupo, Brooke R. Golik, Bobbie M. Golik, David M. Golik Jr., Ethan D. Golik, Ella K. Golik; great-grandchildren, Cooper P. Bollard and Addison R. Bollard; two brothers, Richard (Ella) Stolarczyk and Chester (Linda) Stolarczyk; one sister, Rosemary Stolarczyk; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Walter and Mitilda Stolatczyk; one sister, Janice Jones and son Christopher Golik. Her family and many friends will miss her generous and loving heart. She was a very caring and giving person. The family would like to thank the staff of San Gabriel Memory Care of Highland, IL and Unity Care Hospice of Collinsville, IL for all their wonderful care. A special thank you also to Wendy Green Zinda who was always there for mom. Funeral Mass was Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Holy Trinity Church, Utica, NY. Interment was at Sts. Stanislaus and Casimir Cemetery, Whitestown, NY. Memorials may be given to the Sacred Heart/St. Mary’s Church Fund, in care of Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home, Highland, IL.
