Jacqueline A. Plocher, age 77 of Highland, IL, died Friday, November 01, 2013, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born on Tuesday, July 14, 1936, in Utica, NY, the daughter of John D. and Gretchen J. (nee Hopstein) Galligan. On Saturday, November 10, 1956, she married James E. Plocher who passed away on Friday, May 03, 2013. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star, Highland Chapter #524-Highland, IL; and a Madison County Election Judge. Born at Utica, NY; as Jacqueline was growing up she moved to many different cities because of her father's job. She graduated from St. Paul High School, Highland, IL; and has lived in Highland ever since. She helped her husband with his business, J Plocher Automotive, doing office work; worked for L & M Tavern and retired from St. Joseph Hospital, Highland. She enjoyed and was very good at sewing and knitting. Survivors include: Daughter - Carol A. (David) Price, Alhambra, IL Daughter - Patricia L. Haukap, Millstadt, IL Son - Michael J. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 06, 2013, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, on Thursday, November 07, 2013, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Memorial service will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 07, 2013, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Will VerDuin, Associate Pastor, Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL, officiating. Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL.
