Henrietta M. Daiber

Henrietta Margaret (Stieb) Daiber, age 88, of Marine, IL., died Friday, April 27, 2007, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born May 3, 1918, in Granite City, IL., the daughter of Peter and Henrietta (Grawe) Stieb. On December 31, 1938, she married Aaron D. Daiber, who passed away July 19, 1998. Born and raised in Granity City, Illinois, before moving to the Marine area in the late 1930\'s. Mrs. Daiber was a devoted wife and mother. She was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed baking, cooking, and visiting with her family. She worked in retail sales at John Green Store and retired from P.N. Hirsch Company in 1983. After her retirement from retail sales, she and her husband enjoyed vacationing in southern Texas during the winter months. She also served many years as an election judge in Marine. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church - Marine, IL. She was also a member of St. Elizabeth Altar Society.
