Glenn F. Maedge

Glenn F. Maedge, age 87, of Highland, IL., died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Faith Care Center in Highland. He was born May 30, 1920, in Highland, IL., the son of Henry and Mathilda \"Tillie\" (Ims) Maedge. On February 14, 1976, he married Marian (nee Thornburrow) Maedge (died 8/1973) , who passed away May 19, 2007. Mr. Maedge was raised in Marine, IL. Served with the US Army Air Corps, active duty during WWII from Feb 12, 1942 to Jan 17, 1946. Then lived at Morrison, IL, where he owned and operated Clover Farm Store for 8 years. Then moved back to Marine, IL and owned and operated Maedge\'s Market for 24 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and coin collecting. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post 5694, Highland, IL; former member Turnverein, Marine, IL. Survivors include Son-Steven W. (Laura) Maedge of Saint Louis, Mo., Daughter-Ruthann Valencia of Tucson, Ariz., Step Son-Wayne R. (Dagmar Marion) Marcus of Highland, Ill., Step Daughter-Cheryl A. (Scott) Tibbetts of Edwardsville, Ill., Brother-Robert H. Maedge of Clinton, IA, Brother-Burnell E. (Linette) Maedge of Marine, Ill., Grandchild-Andrea (Jeff) Stafford of Las Vegas, Nev., Grandchild-Carla Valencia of Tucson, Ariz., Grandchild-Deanna Valencia of Tucson, Ariz., Grandchild-Ryan Maedge of Missoula, Mont., Grandchild-Matthew Tustin of Missoula, Mont., Step Grandchild-Laura M. (Dennis) Korte of Highland, Ill., Step Grandchild-Larry W. (Gina) Marcus of Highland, Ill., Step Grandchild-Christine R. (Michael) Graber of Glenwood, Ind., Step Grandchild-Traci A.
