George J. Daiber

George J. Daiber, age 77 of rural Pocahontas, IL, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. He was born September 26, 1935, in Alhambra, IL, the son of Andrew and Sarah (nee Tabor) Daiber. On April 08, 1959, he married Margaret Josephine Langenhorst who survives. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was also a member of Madison County Farm Bureau; Holstein Association; Dairy Herd Improvement Association . George graduated from St. Paul High School, Highland, IL in 1953. A self-employed farmer for 50 years. Moved to Rural Pierron in 1973. He operated a Dairy farm and sold his herd in 1998 and retired in 2010. Enjoyed playing cards (Euchre); fishing and hunting with his grandchildren. He was very faithful to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, volunteering for many activities, and parking cars for Funeral Masses at the church, and also served as Sexton of Calvary Cemetery.
