Emma B. Dasenbrock

Emma B. Dasenbrock, age 88 of Pocahontas, IL, died Sunday, November 8, 2015, at her residence in Pocahontas, IL. She was born on Sunday, February 20, 1927, in East St Louis, IL, the daughter of Rufus E. and Barbara A. (nee Kunkel) Musgrave. On Wednesday, November 13, 1946, she married Thomas R. Dasenbrock who passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012. She was a member of Saint Paul United Church of Christ and Postal Clerk Union. Emma was born in East Saint Louis and grew up in Caseyville, IL. After school, she worked for several different places, including General America Insurance Company for 10 to 15 years and then as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in East St. Louis and St. Louis for 24 years. She moved to Jamestown, IL in 1972 and retired in the mid 90’s. She and her husband were married for over 65 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and Bunco. Survivors include: Son - Thomas M. Musgrave Husband - Thomas R. Dasenbrock (Died 5/3/2012) Son - T Sgt. John H. Dasenbrock (Died 7/12/1984 with U.S. Army) Daughter-in-law - Rose Marie Dasenbrock nee Hannah (Died 7/3/1998) Daughter-in-law - Shirley A. Dasenbrock nee Odle (Died 6/15/1996) Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Saint Paul United Church of Christ in Jamestown, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Saint Paul United Church of Christ in Jamestown, IL., with Pastor Don W. Propeck, officiating. Interment will be at Jamestown Cemetery in Jamestown, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Jamestown Cemetery Association.
