Eileen E. Buske

Eileen E. Buske, age 91 of Grantfork, IL, died Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Alhambra Care Center in Alhambra, IL. She was born September 27, 1926, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Benjamin and Irma (nee Lorenz) Gilomen. On February 03, 1945, she married Lester E. Buske. He passed away on September 22, 1995. She was a member of United Church of Christ of Marine. She was also a member of Woodmen of the World Camp #105, Highland, IL. Eileen was born in Highland and grew up on South Poplar Street. She attended Highland School. She and her husband operated a grain and dairy farm on Deck's Prairie, northwest of Highland, over 40 years. They retired and moved to Grantfork in 1993. Eileen enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, watching her grandsons bowl and watched every Cardinal Baseball game. Survivors include: Daughter - Sharon M. Gilomen, nee Lorenz - Died 2/04/1994 Husband - Lester E. Buske - Died 9/22/1995 Brother - Ray B. Gilomen - Died 2/4/1998 Sister - Carol I. Kreutzberg - Died 6/28/2008 Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL., with Rev. Philip H. Kershner, officiating. Interment will be at Grantfork U.C.C. Cemetery in Grantfork, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
