Diana R. Foltz

Diana Ruth Foltz, age 65 of Tucson, AZ, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Peppi's House Hospice in Tucson, AZ. She was born on Friday, August 26, 1949, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Vance Albert and Anne Marie (nee Jacober) Hundsdorfer. On Saturday, September 21, 1991, she married John W. Foltz, who survives. Mrs. Foltz attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School in Belleville, Notre Dame High School at Ripa, MO for 3 1/2 years, and graduated from Academy of Notre Dame in Belleville. She lived in Fairborn, Ohio where she was employed with the Department of Defense. She worked at Scott Air Force Base and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a contracting procurement analyst for the Aeronautical System Division. She received the prestigious "Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award" upon her retirement in 2000. She has a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology from SIU-Carbondale and a master of science degree in acquisition and manufacturing management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Diana's true passion concerned hand crafts of all kinds. She was a long time certified teacher accredited by the McGown Traditional Rug Hooking Organization. Diana was also the Past Regent of the Tucson Chapter of the Daughter's of the American Revolution; the oldest chapter in Arizona. She enjoyed doing genealogical research for herself and prospective members. Diana's family wishes to thank the many angels that eased her pain in her last few weeks, especially those working for Arizona Oncology and the kind staff at TMC Hospice at Peppi's House. Foltz, Lake Charles, LA Step Grandchild - Matthew R. Foltz, Lake Charles, LA Nephew - Kevin R. Brown, Madison, NJ She was preceded in death by: Father - Vance A. Hundsdorfer (Died 7/28/00) Sister - Nancy E. Brown (Died 2/17/97) Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, on Friday, July 10, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2015, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL, with Father Pat G. Jakel, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Peppi's House Hospice (Tucson Medical Center Hospice) or Charity of Donor's Choice.
