Beatrice B. \"Bea\" Willmann, nee Marquardt, age 90 of Highland, IL, died Thursday, November 04, 2010, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born on Wednesday, August 04, 1920, in Waterloo, IL, the daughter of William and Bertha (nee Schneider) Marquardt, Sr.. On Saturday, September 12, 1942, she married Wilbert L. \"Wimp\" Willmann (nee ) who passed away Febraury 2, 1993. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church; Former Member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Marine, IL; Marine Senior Citizens\' Club - Marine, IL. Mrs. Willmann was born in Waterloo, IL; moved to Grantfork, IL at age 15. She worked as a waitress and cook at Diamond Mineral Springs in Grantfork, IL, as a young lady. She and her husband were married at Camp Roberts, California while he was in the service during World War II. While living there, she had worked in the laundry. For some 15 months, she and her brother had operated a tavern on the northeast corner of Ninth and Cypress Streets in Highland, IL. She then worked at the Highland Box Company (now named Smurfit-Stone) in Highland. For over 22 years, she was employed at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City, IL, retiring at age 62. Mr. & Mrs. Willmann had lived in Worden, IL from 1952-59; Granite City, IL from 1959-82; Troy, IL from 1982-91; moved to Marine, IL in 1991; and to Faith Countryside Homes, Highland, IL in 2003. She enjoyed crocheting, reading; she and her husband camped and fished for many years; Mrs. Willmann was a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan; she also enjoyed playing bingo. Survivors include: Niece that she reared - Lois A. (Gary) Wellen, Collinsville, IL; Grandchildren - Nicole T. Jenkins (nee Wellen), Collinsville, IL and Nathan J. (Lindsey) Wellen, Collinsville, IL; Great Grandchildren - Tiffany N. Jenkins, Collinsville, IL; Trevor A. Jenkins, Collinsville, IL; Brianna N. Wellen, Collinsville, IL and Braden J. Wellen, Collinsville, IL; Two Sisters - Frances M. Wisnasky, Staunton, IL and Olinda C. \"Linda\" (Morris) Zobrist, Highland, IL. . She was preceded in death by: Mother - Bertha M. Marquardt (nee Schneider); Father - Wiliam A. Marquardt, Sr.; Husband - Wilbert L. \"Wimp\" Willmann (died 2/2/1993); Sister - Delores E. Zobrist (died 6/6/2008); Brothers - Robert L. Marquardt; Sylvester C. Marquardt (died 12/4/1994); William A. Marquardt, Jr. (died 10/23/1959); Cletus G. Marquardt (died 6/18/1991); Leroy V. Marquardt and Leonard Marquardt (infant).
