Augusta L. Lienemann

Augusta Loretta "Gussie" Lienemann, age 86 of Highland, IL, died Thursday, January 03, 2013, at Eden Village Retirement Center in Glen Carbon, IL. She was born on Wednesday, March 24, 1926, in Edwardsville, IL, the daughter of Frank and Helen L. (nee Schmidt) Langwisch. On Saturday, June 21, 1947, she married Henry C. Lienemann who passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of VFW Post #5694 Auxiliary and a former member of Edwardsville Moose Lodge #1561. Mrs. Lienemann was born and grew up in Edwardsville, IL. After her marriage, she stayed home to raise her family. She never worked out of the home. She and her husband moved to Highland in 1978. Mrs. Lienemann enjoyed crochetting, knitting, baking and cooking, she was well-known for her pies and cheese cakes. She and her husband enjoyed ballroom dancing in Germantown, Lindendale Park in Highland, IL and all places that have ballroom dancing. She also enjoyed playing with their dog "Dude" who died and now "Lucky Lady". Survivors include: Son - Charles H. (Karen) Lienemann, Wood River, IL Daughter - Marlene M.
