Anastasia M. "Ann" Stoff, age 88 of Highland, IL, died Sunday, March 15, 2015, at her residence in Highland, IL. She was born on Friday, August 06, 1926, in St. Rose, IL, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (nee Schrage) Straeter. On Thursday, October 18, 1951, she married Harold J. Stoff who passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2005. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL; former member Toastmaster Club (Past President); St. Ann Altar Society; VFW Post 5694 Ladies Auxiliary; Helvetia Sharpshooters Society. She was born at St. Rose, IL; attended St. Rose School. She worked briefly at Brown Shoe Co., Highland, IL and Wick's Organ Company prior to marriage. After her children were grown she was the Polka Lady on Request Time @ WINU Radio on Saturdays. She was a former Sunday School Teacher at St. Paul Catholic Church and a Eucharistic Minister for nurisng homes. She was a polite and religious woman who was proud of her seven children. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, on Friday, March 20, 2015, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL, with Father Scott A. Snider, Parochial Vicar, St. Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul School Educational Foundation or Masses.
