Marjorie A. Roniger

Marjorie A. Roniger, age 92 of Grantfork, IL, died Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL. She was born on Friday, October 28, 1921, in Pocahontas, IL, the daughter of Harry S. and Marie A. (nee Heintz) Landolt. On Saturday, March 02, 1946, she married Raymond R. Roniger who passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2005. She was a member of Grantfork United Church of Christ, Grantfork, Illinois. Marjorie was born at Pocahontas, Il; grew up on the farm north of Grantfork, IL. She was a hired girl from age 16 until marriage. She and her husband lived southeast of Highland until 1970 when they moved to Grantfork. She enjoyed sewing, baking, playing cards, and the Christmas holiday. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, on Monday, November 25, 2013, at Grantfork United Church of Christ in Grantfork, IL. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 25, 2013, at Grantfork United Church of Christ in Grantfork, IL, with Rev. Tim A. Darmour-Paul, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Grantfork U.C.C. Cemetery in Grantfork, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Bond County Hospice or Hitz Memorial Home.
