Ella L. Loyet nee Meyer

Ella L. Loyet nee Meyer, age 97 of Highland, IL, died Friday, March 10, 2017, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born December 11, 1919, in Pierron, IL, the daughter of John and Hattie (nee Porter) Meyer. On January 30, 1940, she married Victor L. Loyet and he passed away on February 12, 1987. She was a member of Emerald Mound Grange. Ella was born in Bond County. She grew up in the Lebanon and St. Jacob area. After her marriage sheand her husband lived 4 miles North of Lebanon on a farm. In 1962 they moved to O'Fallon. After her husband's death she moved to Alhambra, and then to an assisted living facility in Trenton, and to Highland Home three years ago. She had helped her husband with the daily farm chores, and was a stay-at-home Mom. She was a cake decorator and loved to go to dances with her husband. She enjoyed her flower garden. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL., with Rev. Thomas B. Rankin, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Home.
