Anna B. Daniels

Anna Blanche Daniels, age 82 of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Highland Health Care Center in Highland, IL. She was born on Tuesday, October 25, 1938, in Madison, IN, the daughter of Thomas and Lula (nee Anderson) Brooks. She married Dale Eugene Daniels. He passed away on Thursday, July 11, 1996. Anna grew up in Madison, Indiana. She lived the majority of her life in South St. Louis. Anna drove an over-the-road truck, then worked for Federal Bag, and also worked as a CNA. She last worked for Weissman Dance of St. Louis making dance costumes, retiring in 2020. Anna moved to Highland in 2020. Her hobbies were reading "suspense/mystery/thrillers" stories, playing computer games, and chatting with her neighbors. She loved spending time with her family, including her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took special pride in her roles of "Crazy" Grandma and "Granny-Great." Survivors include: Son - Gregory L. Daniels, Cape Girardeau, MO Daughter - Voncille A. "Vonnie" (Dan) Spindler, House Spring, MO Daughter - Debra L. "Debbie" (Denny) McCarthy, Fenton, MO Daughter - Tonya J. (Kevin Kennedy) Taylor, Highland, IL Grandchildren - Numerous She was preceded by: Husband - Dale E. Daniels, Sr. - Died 7/11/1996 Father - Thomas R. Brooks Mother - Lula Belle Brooks, nee Anderson Daughter - Pamela S. Reynolds - Died 5/31/2016 Son - Dale E. Daniels, Jr. - Died 6/9/2012 Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
