Violette F. H. Plocher Heim, age 93 of Highland, IL, died Thursday, November 26, 2015, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born on Thursday, July 13, 1922, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Robert and Helen (nee Paris) Kaufmann. She married Laverne T. Plocher who passed away, January 16, 1945. On, August 30, 1952, she married Millard M. Heim who passed away, September 04, 2004. Born in Highland, IL, Violette graduated from Highland High School in 1940. After marriage, she raised a family while working as a seamstress. She owned Violette Heim Infants Wear, where she designed and sewed children's outfits for Women's Exchange in St. Louis, Chicago and New York. Many of her designs were worn by prominent families in St. Louis, including sport themed outfits for children of the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues Hockey players. Two of her dresses were worn by children presenting flowers to the Queen of England. Violette loved to cook and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Mrs. Heim was a very giving person, always thinking of others and remembering them on special occasions. Survivors include: Daughter - Nancy L. Ronat, Waterloo, IL Daughter - Sharon J. Plocher, Williamsburg, VA Son - Gary W. (Brenda) Heim, Highland, IL (Gary was raised by Violette after the death of his mother, Clara (wife of Len) Heim, nee Frank, in 1955.) Grandchild - Brian S. (Deborah) Ronat, Waterloo, IL Grandchild - Brandon B. Heim, Jacksonville, IL Grandchild - Lauren R. Heim, Saint Louis, MO Great Grandchild - Kyle S. Ronat, Waterloo, IL Great Grandchild - Kailee E. Ronat, Waterloo, IL Great Grandchild - Lexus Heim, Jacksonville, IL. She was preceded in death by: Father - Robert Kaufmann Mother - Helen Kaufmann (nee Paris) 1st Husband - Laverne T. Plocher (died 01/16/1945) Husband - Millard M. Heim (died 09/04/2004) Brother - Melvin "Mel" Kaufmann Sister - Pearl F. Schwyzer (died 10/16/1989) Brother - Julius R. Kaufmann (died 06/14/1996). Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL., with Rev. Christopher W. Hill, Senior Pastor, Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL, officiating. Interment will be at Hug Cemetery in Millersburg, IL.
