Stephen E. Moss

Stephen Edward Moss, age 65 of Edwardsville, IL, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Christian Hospital Northeast-BJC in Saint Louis, MO. He was born on Wednesday, April 09, 1947, in Highland, IL, the son of Raymond J. and Dorris E. (nee Maulden) Moss. On Saturday, May 23, 1970, he married Deborah J. Moss (nee Anderson) who survives in Edwardsville. He was a member of St. Mary\'s Catholic Church, Edwardsville, IL. He was also a member of Edwardsville Education Association. Stephen was born and grew up in Highland. He was a 1965 graduate of Saint Paul High School, where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He was a 1969 graduate of Quincy College where he attended on athletic scholarship. After college, Steve taught and coached at St. George High School in Hermann, MO, from1969 to 1970 and then taught and coached at Iberia, MO, high school from 1970 to 1972. Starting in 1972, he moved to Edwardsville High School, teaching and coaching baseball and basketball. He moved to middle school and taught 8th grade Social Studies. He retired in 2009. He had participated in slow pitch softball at Highland. Steve also played the keyboard with \"Dee Dee and The Dino\'s\" for many years. Steve and Deb enjoyed golfing for many years, he managed Montclair Swimming Pool for over 10 years, and enjoyed time with his wife, daughters and grandsons. Triplett, Dorsey, IL Grandchild - Ryan J. Triplett, Dorsey, IL Mother In-law - Nancy H. Anderson, Glen Carbon, IL He was preceded in death by: Father - Raymond J. Moss died 1/21/1987 Mother - Dorris E.
