Ruth S. Nagel, (nee Willmann) age 87 of Highland, IL, died Monday, December 06, 2010, at Highland Health Care Center in Highland, IL. She was born on Friday, February 02, 1923, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Urban and Dena (nee Strotheide) Willmann. On Saturday, September 01, 1945, she married Wallace M. Nagel who passed away on June 2, 2004. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of Ladies Auxiliary to Post 5694;Highland Historical Society. She was born in Highland, grew up there. She worked for Moulton Bartley Shoe Factory; Brown Restaurant; Michael\'s Restaurant; she and her husband owned and operated Village Motel over 30 years. Former member of Highland Drum and Bugle Corps; former Girl Scout leader. In later years, she worked for Rosemary\'s Quilts and Fabrics and the Wedding Belle. She bowled for over 50 years, enjoyed playing cards, quilting, gardening, trout fishing with her husband, flower beds, working in the yard, cooking and time with her grandchildren.
