Ruth E. Nagel, age 87 of Highland, IL, died Tuesday, August 02, 2016, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born on Thursday, May 23, 1929, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Austin and Edith (nee Duncan) Bohnenstiehl. On Monday, November 27, 1950, she married Dale E. Nagel, at the E & R Church - Highland, IL, he passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016. She was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL; EvUCC Women's Guild; Polka Club Ruth was born in Highland. She attended Country School. She worked for Highland Box Board Company. She operated a Dairy and Grain Farm with her husband east of Highland and they retired in 1975. She taught Sunday School at Evangelical United Church of Christ for 15 years. Ruth enjoyed her flower gardens; spending time with her grandchildren and family, playing cards and dancing.
