Ruth M. Kapp, age 93 of Highland, IL, died Monday, March 19, 2018, at Faith Countryside Homes/Faith Care Center in Highland, IL. She was born on Sunday, February 15, 1925, in Aviston, IL, the daughter of Joseph F. and Bertha J. (nee Poettker) Litteken. On Tuesday, January 22, 1946, she married Clarence L. Kapp at St. Francis of Assisi in Aviston, IL, who passed away on January 20, 2015. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church and a member of Woodmen of the World. Ruth was born in Aviston, IL on the family farm north of town. She and her husband operated a dairy, grain, and livestock farm south of Highland and she lived on the farm most of her life. She and her husband had done butchering in the area for various farm families. She enjoyed taking care of her garden. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL.
