Ruth Halterman

Ruth H. Halterman nee, Hayden age 81, of Highland, IL., died Monday, December 24, 2007, at her residence in Highland, IL. She was born July 13, 1926, in East St. Louis, IL., the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Moore) Hayden. Mrs. Halterman was born and grew up in East St. Louis, IL. She was a 1944 graduate of Norte Dame Academy in Belleville. She worked in Chicago then returned to East St. Louis. Following her marriage she was a home maker until the 1960\'s. She then worked as an accountant for Camp Ondessonk for many years and then worked at Golden Frontier Travel Agency until retiring in 1991. In 1999 they moved to Highland from Belleville, where they had lived since 1975. She was a member of the St. Paul Funeral Choir, traveled extensively, and enjoyed quilting, embroidery, and crocheting. Mrs. Halterman was very devoted to her family and church. On January 31, 1948, she married Thomas D. Halterman who passed away June 8, 2005. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was also a former member of St. Philips Catholic Church, East St. Louis; Former member of St. Luke\'s Catholic Church, Belleville,IL; and a former Board Member of Camp Ondessonk. Survivors include Daughter-Linda M. (Vincent) Pensoneau of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Pamela J. (Scott) Buzzard of Wichita, Kan., Daughter-Mary E. (Mark) Lopinot of Fairview Heights, Ill., Son-Daniel I. Halterman of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Jean M. Hummel of Fairview Heights, Ill., Brother-Richard (LaVerne) Hayden of St. Jacob, Ill., Sister-Sister Mary Benedict Hayden, A.S.C. of Ruma, Ill., Brother-Robert (Eleanor) Hayden of Villa Ridge, Mo., Sister-Dorothy Morris of Freeburg, Ill., Grandchild-Thomas V. (Julie) Pensoneau of Glen Carbon, Ill., Grandchild-Sandy L. (Chad) Pensoneau-Conway of Ferndale, Mich., Grandchild-Amanda M. (Robert) Hummel of Collinsville, Ill., Grandchild-Cory M.
