Raymond J. Geiger

Raymond Joseph Geiger, age 81, of Highland, IL., died Monday, May 22, 2006, at Decedent\'s Residence in Highland, IL. He was born July 31, 1924, in Highland, IL., the son of Joseph and Ida (Woltering) Geiger. On May 10, 1955, he married Bertha R. \"Bert\" Geiger nee Weis , who survives. He was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church-Highland, IL. He was also a member of Holy Name Society of the Church. Mr. Geiger was born at Highland, graduated St. Paul High School in 1942; he had hauled milk for his father\'s dairy farm; following his marriage, he and his wife operated a grain & diary farm east of Highland. He had worked for Highland Supply Corporation for some 13 years; and from 8/10/79 until retiring 6/18/92 worked at the Elementary School in Highland as a Custodian. He also maintained Gullick Cemetery for some 13 years. He enjoyed bird-watching in his later years; also collected tools and worked in his shop on the farm.
