Priscilla Shoreack

Priscilla Shoreack, age 95 of Highland, IL, died Friday, July 04, 2014, at Relais Bonne Eau in Edwardsville, IL. She was born December 21, 1918, in Highland, IL, the daughter of John Miles and Anna Elizabeth (nee Bader) Donnelly. On June 28, 1941, she married Clifton Edward Shoreack who passed away on May 24, 1997. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ. She was also a member of Former member of Marine UCC; Order of Eastern Star Unity Chapter of Marine; Former member of Daughters of American Revolution; Madison County Fair Board (Superintendent of Floral Culture); Former member JOY SINGERS; Marine Home Extension. Priscilla was born at Deck's Prairie, where she grew up and attended Geiger School. She lived in East Alton for 37 years, then moved to Hickory Flats Area between Highland and Marine since 1975. She had worked at Brown's Cafe in Highland, Marine Shoe Factory, Olin-Western Cartridge in East Alton; East Alton School District as Cafeteria Cashier. She enjoyed growing and arranging flowers and baking. She won Grand Champion for her Apple Pie at the Madison County Fair and many ribbons for her floral arrangements. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 09, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Christopher W. Hill officiating. Interment will be at Keystone Cemetery in Saint Jacob, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital ; St. Jude's Childrens Hospital ;Giger Cemetery.
