Mildred L. Moser

Mildred Louise (Haller) Moser, age 85, of Highland, IL., died Saturday, September 23, 2006, at St Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL. She was born October 8, 1920, in Highland, IL., the daughter of Ernst and Louise (Glassmaker) Haller. On September 18, 1940, she married Richard E. Moser , who survives. Millie was born in Highland, grew up here and graduated from Highland High School in 1939. She worked at Molton Bartley Shoe Factory and also for Dr. O\'Quinn DDS, in Highland. She also worked in the County property appraisers office in Naples FL. In 1967 she and her husband moved to Golden Gate FL, where they resided until their return to IL earlier this year. Although she had numerous physical problems she enjoyed each day as it unfolded and counted her blessings daily. She loved talking and spending time with family and friends. She also liked playing cards[Jass, Euchre, and Wisconsin Rummy]. She and her husband also played music and entertained at German Dances, nursing homes, and other local events. She and her husband recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ-Highland, IL. She was also a member of Naples Shrine Club Clown Unit Naples, FL; Charter Member of Naples UCC-Naples FL; Golden Gate Civic Association; Charter member of the German American Club \"Germuetlichkeit\" ; VFW Ladies Aux. Highland Post #5694; Charter Member, past President . Survivors include Husband-Richard E. Moser of Highland, Ill., Son-Richard J. \"Rick\" (Kathleen A.) Moser of South Haven, Miss., Daughter-Sandra G. \"Sandy\" (Daniel) Sweeney of Highland, Ill., Sister-In-Law-Helen --- Glassmaker Haller of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Brian L. (Joyce) Sweeney of Silver Springs, Md., Grandchild-Charles Edwin Moser of South Haven, Miss., Grandchild-Mary Grace Moser of South Haven, Miss., Grandchild-Peter Everett Moser of South Haven, Miss. She was preceded in death by Father-Ernst --- Haller, Jr., Mother-Louise--- Haller, nee Glassmaker, Sister-Edith --- Hundsdorf, Brother-Homer --- Haller, died 5/2/1992, Brother-Edward --- Haller, died 5/15/1999, Grandchild-Neil A. Sweeney, died 1991 Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.
