Maria Jean Deibert

Maria Jean Deibert, age 51 of Highland, IL, died Monday, August 03, 2015, at Saint Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. She was born January 14, 1964, in Highland, IL, the daughter of John "Tom" T. and LaGreta A. (nee Lease) Steinmann. On October 07, 1995, she married John Daniel Deibert who survives . She was a member of The Catholic Faith; St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, Highland, IL; VFW Auxiliary Post #5694, Highland, IL, (Life Member); American Legion Auxiliary Post #665, St. Jacob, IL, (Life Member). Maria was born in Highland. She moved to Plainville, IL until 2nd grade and returned to Highland. She graduated from Highland High School in 1982. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital as a Nurses Aid and later worked in medical records. She had worked in Dr. Diaz office in the Billing Dept. and at Clean Uniform. She was very active with her son's Scouting activities and the Highland Hockey Club. Maria coordinated the VFW Easter Egg Hunt for many years. She enjoyed gardening, yard working, feeding/watching hummingbirds and scrapbooking. Survivors include: Husband - John D. Deibert, Highland, IL Son - Jeremy S. Goebel, Highland, IL Daughter - Jennifer M. Morstain, Alton, IL Son - Daniel T. Deibert, Highland, IL Sister - Michell A. (Tom) Rakers, Jamestown, IL Brother - Timothy J. (Kathy) Steinmann Sr., Highland, IL Brother - Thomas E. (Jane) Steinmann, Highland, IL She was preceded in death by : Father - John "Tom" Thomas Steinmann died 10/01/2007 Mother - LaGreta A.. Steinmann nee Lease died 9/17/2012 Special Aunt - Loretta "Jeanie" Lease Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, August 10, 2015, and from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at the funeral home, with Father Pat G. Jakel, Pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL, officiating. Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to HACSM (Food Pantry); Highland VFW Auxiliary; St. Jacob American Legion Auxiliary; or St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary.
