Lucille Frank

Lucille Frank, age 90 of Marine, IL, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL. She was born on Saturday, September 29, 1923, in Edwardsville, IL, the daughter of August Frederick and Amelia (nee Nemnich) Prott. On Saturday, June 19, 1948, she married Alvin J. "Bud" Frank who passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010. She was a member of Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church, Marine, IL; St. Elizabeth Altar Society, Marine, IL; Marine Senior Citizens. Mrs. Frank was born southwest of Marine in Pin Oak Township, Madison County, IL and grew up on a farm. She moved to Marine after her father's death in 1940. She worked at Convoy Heel Factory in St. Louis, MO, for a number of years and then at the Olin Corporation (Western Cartridge Division). She retired from working to raise her family and help her husband with the farm. She enjoyed playing cards, such as euchre and pinochole, bowling, watching the baseball Cardinals, quilting and attending all her grandchildren's events. Survivors include: Daughter - Connie M. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marine, IL, with Father Pat G. Jakel, Pastor, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Marine, IL, officiating. Interment will be at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery in Marine, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Hitz Memorial Home; Heartland Hospice; or Masses.
