Linette R. Korte

Linette R. Korte, age 92 of Highland, IL, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born February 15, 1921, in Highland, IL, the daughter of John L. and Theresa (nee Holzinger) Gantner. On May 06, 1944, she married Vincent A. Korte who passed away on, February 27, 1995. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Mary's Ladies Sodality of Immaculate Conception Church, and Home Owners Association of Faith Countryside Homes. Linette was born at Highland, grew up and graduated St. Paul High School in 1939. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital. After her marriage she and her husband lived west of Pocahontas on their dairy farm. She and her husband retired from the farm and moved to Highron Drive west of Pierron, IL. She moved to Faith Countryside Homes Duplex in 2004, and to the Faith Countryside Homes Assisted Living in 2009. She was an avid card player and enjoyed Bingo. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, and from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, on Monday, October 21, 2013, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 21, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pierron, IL, with Father Scott A. Snider and Father Pat G. Jakel officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Pierron, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Hospital - Community Link - Charity of The Donor's Choice.
