Lawanda M. "Peggy" Fansler, age 85 of Highland, IL, died Monday, December 15, 2014, at Faith Care Center in Highland, IL. She was born on Saturday, December 14, 1929, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Harry L. and Fornia Marie (nee Payne) Byerly. On Tuesday, June 01, 1976, she married John Fansler who passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2005. Born at McPherson, KS; graduated high school from Pawnee Rock High School, Pawnee Rock, KS, in 1947. She graduated from Dominican School of Nursing, Great Bend, KS, in 1950. Peggy was a registered nurse for Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, KS; later for Ellinwood Hospital, Ellinwood, KS and retired from Lyons Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Lyons, KS. She lived most of her life in Kansas and moved to Highland, IL, in June of 2009. She enjoyed reading, church, crafts and her grandchildren. Survivors include: Daughter - Virlia J. Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 22, 2014, at Mosaic Church in Highland, IL, with Rev. Eddie Pullen, Pastor, officiating. No Interment.
