She was born September 08, 1921, in Aviston, IL, the daughter of Joseph Frank and Bertha Johanna (nee Poettker) Litteken. On November 05, 1946, she married Edgar Ben Kapp who passed away on April 16, 2009. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of Helvetia Sharpshooters Society, KC Ladies, VFW and American Legion Auxillary. . Laura and her husband farmed Northeast of Highland, raising livestock and grain.
