Kapp Mildred R.

Mildred R. (nee Foppe) Kapp, age 78, of Highland, IL., died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born November 23, 1929, in New Baden, IL., the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Mueller) Foppe. On May 7, 1947, she married Edwin W. Kapp Sr., who passed away August 5, 2000. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church-Highland, IL. Mildred was born in New Baden. Her father died when she was 6, after her mother\'s second marriage they moved to Aviston. She attended St. Francis of Assisi. She and her husband opened Ed & Millies Tavern in Highland in 1968 and sold it to her son in 1988. Mr. and Mrs. Kapp vacationed in Florida for a number of years, spending time in the spring and fall in the Ozarks and at their club house on Shoal Creek. Even in retirement she was still active at the tavern and always made the chili. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting was her passion and was a very good cook. (Bill Rickher) Broniec of Highland, Ill., Son-Stephen R. (Kathy Ann) Kapp of Greenville, Ill., Daughter-Kathryn F. (Billy) Edwards of Highland, Ill., Son-Kevin J. Kapp(friend Julie Reeves) of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Jacqueline L. Kapp(Fiance Jack Bange) of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Michelle L. (Robert) Johnson of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Lisa Ann M. Kapp (Fiance Craig Koberczky) of Highland, Ill., Sister-Lorene Sudholt of Aviston, Ill., Half-Brother-David (Irene) Hollenkamp of ., Calif., Sister In-law-Bernice Foppe of Aviston, Ill., Step Sis-In-Law-Bernice Hollenkamp of Aviston, Ill., Step Sister-Bea Cryder of O Fallon, Ill. She was preceeded in death by Father-Joseph H. Foppe, Mother-Elizabeth C. Foppe nee Mueller, Husband-Edwin W. Kapp Sr., died 8/5/2000, Son -in-Law- Walter R. \'Wally\" Frey died 2/6/03, Sister-Delores Dean, Brother-Ray Foppe and numerous Step Brothers and Sisters.
