Judith L. Nagel

Judith L. Nagel, age 67 of Strongsville, OH, died Sunday, November 06, 2011, at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. She was born on October 16, 1944, in Belton, TX, the daughter of Elmer and Edith (nee Steiner) Ruehrup. On January 04, 1964, she married David Lee Nagel, who survives. She was a member of Middleburg Heights Community Church/UCC. She was also a former member of Salem United Church of Christ; Alhambra American Legion Auxiliary; Alhambra Leef Home Extension. Judy was born in Belton, TX and at age 2 her family moved to Alhambra, IL. Judy spent her youth and early adulthood on a dairy farm with her family bottling and delivering milk door to door. She was a 1962 graduate of Highland High School. She was an active 4-H Leader, and was very involved with the Salem United Church of Christ. Her early married years were spent on a small Alhambra farm where she and her husband raised four children. In the mid 1980\'s she began working for the United Church of Christ National Headquarters in St. Louis, MO. In 1989 she relocated with the UCC to Cleveland, OH, where she worked until 2004. In 2005 she began working for the School of Social Work at Cleveland State University, where she was still employed. She loved spending time with her eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, and would often travel many miles to ensure she was able to celebrate special occasions with them.
