Joseph Goslik

Joseph Goslik, age 92, of Highland, IL., died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at Highland Health Care Center in Highland, IL. He was born May 15, 1915, in Livingston, IL., the son of Joseph and Anna (Chetz) Goslik. On September 22, 1940, he married Burlene M. Busby, and she survives. Grew up north of Alhambra on the family farm, and attended Big Rock School. He had worked for the Gross Chandelier Company in St. Louis; then returned to the family farm to live and work. He and his wife moved to Marine in 1947. He had worked for the Marine Garment Factory for 18 years and then for Artex International in Highland for 15 years. He retired in 1980. Following his retirement he had driven a school bus for the Triad School district for some 6 years. Moved to Highland in 2006. Enjoyed travelling, camping, bowling, hunting and ballroom dancing. Enjoyed his grandchildren and liked to tell jokes. He was a member of Former member of First Christian Church-Marine. He was also a member of Helvetia Sharpshooters Society-Highland, former member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1561-Edwardsville. Survivors include Wife-Burlene M. Scherer of Belleville, Ill., Brother-Paul E Goslik (friend Rose Beckmenn) of St. Charles, Mo., Grandchild-Leisa M. (Robert) Nesbit of Saint Jacob, Ill., Grandchild-Todd A. (Kim) Noeltner of Marine, Ill., Grandchild-Daniel J. (Lisa) Noeltner of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Justin R Scherer of Marine, Ill., Great Grandchild-Brandon Seger, Great Grandchild-Amanda Seger, Great Grandchild-Parker Nesbit, Great Grandchild-Trent Noeltner, Great Grandchild-Sydney Noeltner, Great Grandchild-Madison Noeltner, Great Grandchild-Chase Noeltner He was preceded in death by Father-Joseph Stanley Goslik, Mother-Anna (nee Chetz) Goslik, Daughter-Sharon J. Goslik (died 4/4/1951, age 3 months, Sister-Alvina Tkatschuk (died 3/7/89), Brother-Frank M Goslik, Sister-Anna Unghajer, Sister-Mary K.
