Jeanette M. Moenster

Jeanette M. \"Jen\" (nee Potthast) Moenster, age 72, of Highland, IL., died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born September 15, 1935, in Pierron, IL., the daughter of Raymond and Emma (Lunitz) Potthast. On August 28, 1956, she married Edward F. Moenster , who survives. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church-Highland, IL; and St. Anne Altar Sodality. Jeanette was born in Bond County, southeast of Pierron, IL. She grew up on the family farm southwest of Grantfork and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1954. After high school she worked in the pay-roll Dept. at Alton Box Co. She raised her family and worked part time at Travel One for over 20 years. She and her husband were partners in Tri Ford Mercury of Highland. She was a member of a Ladies Afternoon Pinochle Club; enjoyed sewing, cooking and loved her grandchildren. She traveled to California and Alaska to visit family; and also to New York, Hawaii, Florida, and the Bahamas. Survivors include Husband-Edward F. Moenster of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Lynn M. (Scott) Novak of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Terry A. (Steven) Aebischer of Highland, Ill., Son-Gary E. (Janice) Moenster of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Shari L. (James) Scott of Ketchikan, Alaska, Daughter-Deanne M. (Steven) Moenster-Poitras of Berkeley, Calif., Grandchildren-Kristi L. Novak, Jason R. (Natilee) Novak, Drew L. Aebischer, Allison R. Moenster, Lauren E. Aebischer, Mitchell E. Moenster, Emma M. Scott, Reid M. Aebischer, Ava M. Poitras, Drake E.A. Poitras, Step Grandchildren-Maren Poitras and Kristen Poitras, Brother-Edward (Jean) Potthast of Springhill, Fla., Brother-Henry (Jackie) Potthast of Highland, Ill., Brother-Paul (Karen) Potthast of Highland, Ill., Brother-Raymond (Gladys) Potthast of Edwardsville, Ill., Sister-Martha Talleur of Highland, Ill., Sister-Mary Frances Gnaedinger of Highland, Ill., Sister-Theresa Richter of Highland, Ill., Sister-Monica (David) Rehkemper of Highland, Ill., Sister-in-law-Jean Potthast of Pontiac, Ill. She was preceeded in death by Father-Raymond W. Potthast, died 1/10/1986, Mother-Emma A. Potthast, nee Lunitz, died 11/2/1945, Son-Mark W. Moenster died 5/3/1987, Brother-Jerome Potthast, Brother In-law-Richard Talleur, Brother In-law-Vincent Gnaedinger and Brother In-law-Jerome Richter.
