Jean M. Conrad

Jean Marie Conrad, age 82 of Highland, IL, died Friday, December 07, 2012, at Alhambra Care Center in Alhambra, IL. She was born July 23, 1930, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Vincent and Viola Catherine (nee Hopfinger) Bischof. On September 17, 1955, she married John H. "Jack" Conrad, Sr. who passed away on Tuesday, September 03, 1985. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of Royal Neighbors of America#1957 Highland; Happy Kids Kitchen Band of Highland; Saint Joseph Hospital Auxiliary-Highland. Jean was born in St. Louis and graduated from St. Theresa Academy in East St. Louis in 1948. She had worked for Dr. Timpson in East St. Louis and at Walgreens in St. Louis. She moved to Highland in 1972 and worked at Lillian\'s Dress Shop, Western Auto part time, the worked 17 years at St. Joseph Hospital. She also helped at Conrad's Tavern in Highland. She enjoyed feeding wild birds, standing outside her home and waving at children on the school bus as they passed in the afternoon. She was also a HUGE Cardinal Baseball Fan.
