Henry E. Schwierjohn

Henry Edward Schwierjohn, age 93 of Pierron, IL, died Thursday, October 06, 2011, at Faith Countryside Homes/Faith Care Center in Highland, IL. He was born on Thursday, September 19, 1918, in Pocahontas, IL, the son of William J. and Josephine E. (nee Holthaus) Schwierjohn. On Wednesday, June 18, 1941, he married Loretta Marie Schwierjohn (nee Stroot) who passed away on January 17, 2004. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Pierron, IL. He was also a member of Holy Name Society; Bond County Farm Bureau; Pierron Improvement Club (PIC). Henry was a self-employed farmer for 60+ years, retired in 2001. He drove a school bus for Highland School District and Bond County. He was also an insurance agent for Farmers Central Insurance Agency in Hillsboro and Rockford. He was a Pierron Improvement Club (PIC) member and served as a Board Member for the Village of Pierron for 12 years. He served as Election Judge and was on the committee to build the new church in Pierron. Enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing cards and traveling including trips to Spain, Rome and Turkey. Survivors include: Daughter - Betty J.
