Henry C. Lienemann, Jr., age 86 of Highland, IL, died Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. He was born on Thursday, June 19, 1924, in Alhambra, IL, the son of Henry C. and Flossie V. (nee Johnson) Lienemann. On Saturday, June 21, 1947, he married Augusta L. \"Gussie\" Lienemann (nee Langwisch) who survives. He was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL, Knights of Columbus Council #1580, Highland, IL, 3rd & 4th Degree (Life Member); VFW Post #5694-Highland (LifeMember); Lee Iten Post #439-American Legion, Highland, IL; Helvetia Sharpshooters Society, Highland, IL; AARP; Loyal Order of Moose at Edwardsville #1561(former secretary). Born and grew up on a farm southeast of Alhambra, IL. Served with the US Army for 33 months, with duty in Europe during WWII (Corporal; Gun Crew Commander). He worked at U.S. Radiator Corp. in Edwardsville; Edwardsville Creamery, and then started working for the City of Edwardsville in March of 1943 as a police officer, he was a Traffic Sergeant for 17 years, and for the last two years as Chief; he retired in 1974.Mr. Lienemann and his wife moved to Highland in 1978. He then worked at Basler Electric for less than a year; Central Illinois Truck Centers for four years; Farmers & Merchants Bank and its successor banks for 12 years.He enjoyed dancing at Lindendale Park, Germantown, IL and all places that have ballroom dancing. Streight, Curwensville, KY; Joseph (Kristen) Kustermann, Highland, IL; Vanessa R. (Michael) Maine, Grantfork, IL; Christy L. Lienemann, Highland, IL; Kendra R. Lienemann, Highland, IL; Donnie (Krystal) Lienemann, Granite City, IL; Darren Isbrecht; and Amanda Isbrecht Berry Nine Great Grandchildren; Sister - Clara Henkhaus, Maryville, IL. He was preceded in death by: Father - Henry C. Lienemann, Sr. Mother - Flossie V. Lienemann, nee Johnson Daughter - Barbara A. Hall (died Oct. 8, 2009); Brother - Herman F. Lienemann Sister - Dorine Luber Brother - Elvin W. Lienemann Brother - Freddy Lienemann (died at 3 mos.).
