Grace C. Luehm Iberg

Grace Clara Luehm Iberg, age 96 of Highland, IL, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, in Highland, IL. She was born on Thursday, April 15, 1915, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Arthur Allen and Louise Milda (nee Blum) Riggs. On July 11, 1930, she married Waldo E. Luehm who passed away on May 19, 1977. On October 05, 1984, she married Clarence J. Iberg who survives in Highland, IL. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL . She was former member of Joy Singers; Madison County Farm Bureau; Women\'s Guild of the Church; Kitchen Band at Highland Home. Grace was born at Highland; grew up there. She worked at Moulton Bartley Shoe Company. Following her first marriage, she and her husband farmed south of Highland on the Luehm homeplace. They retired to Highland in 1977. After her second marriage, she lived on a farm on Trestle Road until 1999 and then moved to Faith Countryside Homes Village; then to Highland Home in early 2000. Mrs. Luehm Iberg enjoyed being part of pinochle clubs and enjoyed making a quilt for each grandchild as well as 50 other quilts. She also loved to shop, dance and travel especially to Europe (which she did twice), Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Mexico and on cruises.
