Genevieve G. Korte

Genevieve G. Korte nee Frey, age 85, of Highland, IL., died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Faith Care Center in Highland, IL. She was born March 18, 1923, in Pierron, IL., the daughter of Fremont and Josephine (Goestenkors) Frey. On April 25, 1946, she married Joseph G. Korte , who survives. Born in Pierron, IL and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School. She was married April 25, 1946 at Immaculate Conception Church in Pierron by Father Kunsch after her husband\'s military service. They moved to Highland and raised their family. She started bowling at age 60 and still bowled in two leagues at age 80. She and her husband enjoy dancing and traveling and touring to England and Rome. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church-Highland, IL. She was also a member of VFW Auxiliary Post 5694; American Legion Auxiliary Post 439; St. Anne Altar Society. (Linda) Korte of Maryville, Ill., Son-Steven A. (Debbie) Korte of Highland, Ill., Son-Stanley G. (Denise) Korte of Oakville, Mo., Son-Bryan W. (Anna) Korte of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Kimberly L. Schmidt, Grandchild-Kristin R. Schmidt, Grandchild-Cherie L. (Steve) Straub, Grandchild-Shawn A. (Judy) Bunyard, Grandchild-Jennifer N. (Justin) Rains, Grandchild-Nathan M.
