Fernia E. Mollet

Fernia Emma Mollet, age 95 of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Alhambra Care Center in Alhambra, IL. She was born on Monday, July 10, 1916, in Marine, IL, the daughter of George and Katherine A. (nee Knebel) Voegele. On Tuesday, January 03, 1939, she married Melvin Lee Mollet who passed away on January 30, 2003. She was a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Anne Altar Society; Quilters Club at St. Paul Rectory. Fernia was born in Marine; grew up on Voegele Family Farm. After schooling, she worked at St. Joseph Hospital. After marriage, she helped with her husband\'s farm in Marine, then north of Highland, where the new St. Joseph Hospital will be built. Later they farmed north near Daiber Road. They retired from farming in 1972 and moved to Highland. She always had a big garden. She enjoyed playing in a Euchre Club and liked playing Bingo. She was an avid Quilter and a good cook.
