Eleanora B. "Ellie" Potthast, age 78 of Pocahontas, IL, died Sunday, January 06, 2013, at her residence in Pocahontas, IL. She was born on Tuesday, December 04, 1934, in Saint Rose, IL, the daughter of John M. and Mary A. (nee Henrichs) Ribbing. On Tuesday, January 12, 1954, she married Marcellus J. "Weakie" Potthast who passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Saint Mary Altar Sodality; Pierron Improvement Club (PIC). Ellie was born at St. Rose; grew up in St. Rose; attended St. Rose School. She worked at Wick Organ Company. After her marriage she stayed home and reared her family. She enjoyed bingo, visiting casinos, watching the baseball Cardinals, a former bowler, shopping and making strawberry jelly.
