Dorris C. Emshousen

Dorris C. Emshousen, age 91 of Alhambra, IL, died Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL. She was born September 09, 1927, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Edgar "Spotz" and Florence (nee Dresch) Zobrist. On May 27, 1983, she married Alfred G. "Blackie" Emshousen in Belleville, IL. He passed away on September 15, 2018. She was a member of Greater Carlyle Bowling Hall of Fame. Dorris was born and grew up in Highland, IL . She had lived in Collinsville, IL and moved to the Highland area for many years, and worked at Kayser Drug Store. She moved to Edwardsville in 1968 and to Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra in 2013. Dorris enjoyed playing Bingo. Pinochle was her card game of choice and she liked to Polka. She was an avid Bowler at Edwardsville and Highland, and was inducted into the Greater Carlyle Bowling Hall of Fame.
