Dorothy B. Shook

Dorothy Beatrice (Wood) Shook, age 86, of Highland, IL., died Saturday, February 24, 2007, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Highland, IL. She was born February 3, 1921, in Wright City, MO., the daughter of Marcus and Lilllie (Gregory) Wood. On January 13, 1941, she married Leo E. Shook who passed away in August 1998. Mrs. Shook was born, raised and graduated from High School in Wright City, Missouri. She moved to California for a short time after her marriage, then to St. Louis, from 1974-1980 working for a number of years at Rauch Lumber in St. Charles, MO unitl her husband retired. They lived in Colorado for 10 years where she worked at a Hospital as a secretary. In 1985 they moved to Highland, IL. and later retired from Consolidated Aluminum in Madison, IL. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL. Survivors include Daughter-Joyce A. Shook (died Aug. 1998), Sister-Nora Dyer, Brother-James Wood, Brother-Marvin Wood, Brother-Ralph Wood, Sister-Neoma Dafflitto, Sister-Alma Meyerotto, Sister-Edith Wood, Gr Grandchild-Brennan Kutz (11 days) Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.
