Delores M. "Dottie" Casper

Delores M. "Dottie" Casper, age 86 of Alhambra, IL, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. She was born January 05, 1927, in New Douglas, IL, the daughter of Julius and Lillie (nee Schallenberg) Hosto. On February 24, 1946, she married Laverne R. Casper who passed away May 24, 1998. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. She was also a member of Salem UCC Women's Guild - Salem Choir - Alhambra Home Extension - Alhambra Community Club - Alhambra and Hamel Senior Citizens. Delores was born in Rural New Douglas, and a 1944 Graduate of Highland High School. She and her husband worked on their farm until 1959 when they move to Alhambra. Dottie started working for Meyer Mutual Insurance Agency in Hamel as a Secretary then later worked as a Secretary at Hampton Nursing Home in Alhambra, until her retirement. She was very active in her church and clubs that she was part of. Her and her husband played cards with the same couples for 50 years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, crafts, and traveled extensively with her husband. Together they enjoyed water skiing, boating, and camping. Survivors include : Daughter - Connie S.
