Delmar W. Meffert

Delmar W. Meffert, age 85 of Lehigh Acres, FL, died Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Rosewood Care Center in Alton, IL. He was born February 20, 1927, in Grantfork, IL, the son of Albert Jacob and Arline Emma (nee Wiesemeyer) Meffert. He married Geraldine "Jerry" G. Wildhaber February 28, 1949. She passed away September 17, 1995. On October 28, 2000, he married Myrln A. Cooper who survives. Delmar was born in the Grantfork Area, grew up on the family farm and attended Hedgemount Country School. He lived North East of Grantofrk for 25 years, Greenville for 15 years, and moved to Lehigh Acres, Florida in 1989. He operated a grain and cattle farm. He and his wife would winter in Florida and spend their summers in Moro, IL. He had also been a Realitor Broker in Greenville. He enjoyed gardening and helping his wife can their vegetables. He enjoyed Square Dancing and had attended over 25 National Square Dance Conventions. He also hosted mand Ex-Change Students, four from Brazil, one from Mexico, one from France, and one from Switzerland. Survivors include : Wife - Myrln A.
