Darwin S. Iberg

Darwin Samuel Iberg, age 77, of Carlyle, IL., died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Breese, IL. He was born February 12, 1930, in Pocahontas, IL., the son of Samuel and Lillie (Gantner) Iberg. On November 5, 1949, he married Violet M. \"Vi\" Iberg , who survives. He was born on the home place south of Pocahontas, IL. He lived on the farm at Carlyle, for 57 years; milked 35 years, grained farm and was a excellent handyman. He was always willing to help others; one of his favorite pasttimes was to tell jokes and talking to friends. He and his wife camped at Hide-Away Campgrounds, Keysport. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL. He was also a member of Helvetia Sharpshooters Society; Clinton County Farm Bureau; Loyal Order of Moose, Edwardsville, IL; Masonic Lodge #355, A.F. & A.M. , Marine, IL; Former member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, Jamestown, IL [President for 17 years]; & Mid-America Dairymen Assoc. Survivors include Wife-Violet M. \"Vi\" Iberg of Carlyle, Ill., Son-Kenneth E. (Anna) Iberg of Highland, Ill., Daughter-Diane S. (Mark) Wiese of Carlyle, Ill., Grandchild-Vincent E. (fiancee Jenn Heflin) Iberg of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Dawn M. (Shannon) Autry of Highland, Ill., Grandchild-Michael S. (Jackie) Iberg of Pocahontas, Ill., Grandchild-Timothy E.
