Clinton Howard Rogier, age 92 of Highland, IL, died Friday, April 13, 2012, at Faith Care Center in Highland, IL. He was born December 18, 1919, in Highland, IL, the son of Charles Adrian and Amelia Fanny (nee DeMoulin) Rogier. On September 07, 1941, at Benton, IL, he married Anna Lee Smith who survives. He grew up in rural Highland and graduated from Highland High School in 1937. Mr. Rogier\'s father, Charles, started the Rogier Insurance Agency in Highland in 1930 and after a short period of service with the US Department of Agriculture, Clinton joined the agency in January 1940. His father retired in 1952. Clint\'s son, Adrian, now runs the Highland agency in addition of the SIUA Insurance Agency in Edwardsville and Greenville. In 1979, Mr. Rogier became the CEO of Madison Mutual Insurance Company in Edwardsville. He served as President, Chairman of the Board and upon his retirement in 2008, he was named Chairman Emeritus. Clinton and his wife, Anna Lee moved to Edwardsville in 1979, returning to live their retirement in Highland in 2010. Clinton was a committed Christian with a deep faith that he willingly shared with others. He sang in his church and also at weddings and funerals. While rearing his family, they enjoyed raising horses - going horseback, carriage, and sleigh rides together .For many years, Mr. & Mrs. Rogier wintered at homes in Arizona and then Alabama; they had a summer home in Michigan.He loved his wife, Anna Lee, and his family with great devotion. He, also, loved his church and the organizations he supported giving 100% to everything that he participated in. The family celebrates his going home to be with his Lord.
